Gilbey’s Gets a Fresh Look, But Keeps the Same Classic Taste
Gilbey’s is stepping into a new chapter with a refreshed bottle and a new campaign, while keeping the gin that Kenyan consumers already know.
The gin brand, which traces its history back to 1857, has unveiled its new “Made for Magic” campaign alongside updated packaging.
The big change is on the outside. The liquid inside remains the same.
Gilbey’s says its gin continues to be made with a blend of 12 botanicals, giving it the distinctive taste and versatility that have helped the brand remain a familiar name among Kenyan gin drinkers for generations.

Finding the magic in everyday moments
The new “Made for Magic” campaign is all about those ordinary moments that somehow become the ones you remember.
A spontaneous conversation. A good laugh with friends. An unexpected catch-up. Sometimes, it is the simple things that make an evening special.
That is the thinking behind the campaign, which encourages consumers to look beyond big occasions and appreciate the little moments shared with people who matter.
“Gilbey’s has been part of moments shared between friends and loved ones for generations,” said Gilbey’s Brand Manager Lilian Mbugua.
She said the refreshed pack gives the brand a more contemporary expression while keeping the quality and versatile liquid consumers have come to know.
Same gin, new look
The refreshed packaging does not change the gin’s taste, quality or character.
Gilbey’s says the combination of quality, versatility and affordability remains at the heart of the brand, whether it is enjoyed as a simple Gin & Tonic or used to create a more personal serve.
The new-look bottles are now available across Kenya through distributors and retailers including Naivas, QuickMart, Carrefour and Chandarana, as well as online and through reputable liquor stores.
For Gilbey’s, the message is simple: the bottle may look different, but the gin remains the same.
Please enjoy responsibly. Alcohol is not for sale to persons under 18.
