DStv Enters New Era With ‘Expect More’ Brand Promise
MultiChoice Group is reshaping DStv with new products, channels and a stronger focus on customer choice and value.
DStv is entering a new chapter as MultiChoice Group, a Canal+ company, prepares to reinvent the pay-TV brand.
The new era comes under the brand promise “DStv Expect More”.
The refreshed approach will introduce a new range of products and channels. It will also place greater focus on what customers want from their entertainment experience.
The changes come as DStv responds to evolving viewing habits and growing demand for greater choice and value. MultiChoice has described the overhaul as a significant rethink of its offering.
More Choice for Different Viewers
The new DStv will cater to different viewing preferences.
Movie lovers will have entertainment options built around films and series. Sports fans will continue to have access to dedicated sports content.
Families, meanwhile, will have options designed to meet different entertainment needs under one service.
The new structure aims to give subscribers more choice and flexibility.
It also reflects a shift towards a more customer-focused approach. MultiChoice has said the changes are intended to simplify the offering while improving value for viewers.

New Products and Channels
The refreshed DStv offering will include new channels alongside changes to existing content.
The new line-up includes Wethu+, SuperSport Kickoff, M-Net Movies+, M-Net Movies Stars and M-Net Movies Legends.
Sports content will also feature channels such as SuperSport Football Plus, SuperSport Africa, SuperSport Extra and SuperSport Extra 2.
In addition, third-party channels including France24 and Church TV are being introduced in the new offering.
MultiChoice has also introduced new package structures in South Africa. These include Starter, Select, Sports, Movies & Series and Premium.
The new packages are scheduled to launch on 17 September 2026 in South Africa. A rollout to the rest of Africa is expected later.
A New Customer-Focused DStv
The changes mark a broader evolution for DStv.
For viewers, the focus is on making it easier to find the content they want. At the same time, the new approach gives customers more options across entertainment and sports.
The refreshed brand also comes as DStv operates under Canal+, which completed its acquisition of MultiChoice in 2025. However, MultiChoice has stressed that DStv remains a distinct and strong brand within the wider group.
For DStv, the message is clear: the viewing experience is changing.
With “DStv Expect More”, the brand is promising more choice, more value and more control as it begins its next chapter.
