DStv Cuts Packages to Four as New Prices Start at KSh 750
DStv is changing its packages and prices in Kenya, with a new line-up set to take effect on November 5, 2026. The update will reduce the number of DStv packages from six to four, with monthly prices ranging from KSh 750 to KSh 7,300.
MultiChoice, now part of Canal+, says the changes are designed to give viewers clearer choices and make more entertainment and sports content accessible at different price points.
The new packages are DStv Starter, Select, Sports and Ultimate. They will also be available on DStv Stream.
What Each DStv Package Offers
The new line-up caters to different viewing preferences, from local entertainment and children’s programmes to major international sporting events.
- DStv Starter – KSh 750: Offers up to 116 channels, including Maisha Magic Plus, Maisha Magic Loko, Maisha Magic Poa, Cartoon Network, Disney Junior, La Liga and Novela+. It also introduces SuperSport KICKOFF, which will show selected live football matches from major leagues.
- DStv Select – KSh 1,500: Includes up to 149 channels, with local and international series, refreshed movie channels, children’s programmes, lifestyle content and a selection of sports.
- DStv Sports – KSh 3,000: Offers up to 159 channels and includes Premier League and UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League football, alongside WWE and UFC. Subscribers also get the general entertainment channels available on Select.
- DStv Ultimate – KSh 7,300: The premium package offers up to 180 channels, combining sports and entertainment with additional coverage of Formula 1, MotoGP, cricket, rugby, ATP tennis and major golf tournaments.
The biggest change for sports fans is the introduction of DStv Sports as a dedicated package that includes the Premier League and major UEFA club competitions at a lower price than Ultimate.
GOtv Also Gets New Packages
GOtv subscribers will also have new package options, with prices starting at KSh 300.
- GOtv Easy – KSh 300: Offers 30 channels, including selected live sports, SuperSport KICKOFF, Moonbug, Maisha Magic Plus, Maisha Magic Loko and Maisha Magic Bongo.
- GOtv Starter – KSh 750: Includes 47 channels, with local entertainment, children’s content, La Liga, Novela+ and selected football on SuperSport KICKOFF.

The GOtv line-up gives viewers a range of options depending on their budgets and preferred content.
New Decoder and Installation Prices
Alongside the package changes, MultiChoice will introduce a hardware promotion from November 5.
An HD decoder and satellite dish will retail at KSh 1,500, with installation costing an additional KSh 500.
The changes come as MultiChoice looks to refresh its offering in Kenya and attract viewers with a mix of African productions and international entertainment.
The company has also indicated that more local productions are on the way, including the drama Chamaa.
Subscribers can find more information about the new packages and migration options on the official DStv website.
