Networks Open Season 2 Brings Six Days of Padel, Competition and Community to Nairobi
The tournament returns from August 25 to 30, bringing players together for competition, fitness and community at Networks Padel Village.
Nairobi’s growing padel community is set for another week of competition as Networks Open Season 2 returns to Networks Padel Village at Village Market from August 25 to 30, 2026.
The six-day tournament will bring together players across different skill levels. It will also give friends, families and fans an opportunity to experience one of Nairobi’s emerging social sports.
Padel has continued to gain popularity in Nairobi. The sport combines elements of tennis and squash while creating a social environment that appeals to both competitive and recreational players.
Nine categories across different skill levels
Networks Open Season 2 will feature nine categories across Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite levels.
The tournament will offer more than KES 600,000 in cash prizes. The Top Kenya 4.5+ category will also bring some of the country’s leading padel players onto the court.
The tournament follows a busy period for Networks Padel Village. In June, more than 250 athletes competed in the Carrefour Open.
The competition featured men’s, women’s and mixed categories. It attracted both competitive players and recreational participants.
Competition meets Nairobi’s social scene
According to Sylvia Mugweru, Club Manager at Networks Padel Village, the tournament has quickly become an important event for the local padel community.
“Networks Open has quickly established itself as one of the country’s signature padel tournaments,” she said.
Mugweru added that Season 2 will be bigger and more competitive. She said the tournament will also focus on growing the sport while creating an enjoyable experience for players and spectators.
Weekday matches will run from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekend matches will run from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The schedule allows the tournament to tap into Nairobi’s growing after-work sports culture. It also gives spectators more opportunities to attend the matches.
Registration now open
Registration is currently open at KES 8,000 per team, or KES 4,000 per player.
Organisers will review player categories against Playtomic ratings. This will help create fair and competitive match-ups throughout the tournament.

Register for Networks Open Season 2
Beyond the matches, Networks Open Season 2 aims to bring Nairobi’s padel community together around competition, fitness and social connection.
As the sport continues to grow in Kenya, events such as Networks Open are helping create spaces where new players can take up the game while experienced competitors test themselves against some of the country’s strongest talent.
