The Tusker Oktobafest train made vibrant stops in Mombasa and Nanyuki last weekend, bringing together thousands of fans to celebrate Kenya’s music, culture, and beer heritage.

The nationwide festival now sets its sights on Kisumu for a highly anticipated finale on November 8th.

Mombasa: A Celebration by the Beach

Mombasa came alive as revelers filled The New Big Tree in Bamburi for a night of unforgettable entertainment.

The lineup featured Khaligraph Jones, Ndovu Kuu, Tipsy Gee, and Honest Blind Boy, backed by DJs Benitez, Mostwanted, Issa Platinum, DJ Daffy, and MC Gogo.

From high-energy performances to spontaneous sing-alongs, the night was a true coastal celebration. A surprise birthday shout-out for MC Gogo added to the festive mood as Tusker fans danced late into the night.

Nanyuki: High Spirits in the Highlands

Upcountry, Nanyuki’s Stingers Lounge pulsed with equal excitement. Artists Toxic Lyrikali, Ayrosh, Wanjine, and Njerae kept the crowd on their feet alongside DJs Abby, Deewiz, Tibz, Grauchi, Kaneda, and Doubleblack. The event was hosted by Azeezah Hashim and Kibunja.

Even a brief downpour couldn’t dampen the energy. Njerae’s soulful performance and Toxic Lyrikali’s local hits were among the night’s standouts, while DJ Grauchi’s closing set ensured the celebration ended on a high note.

Countdown to Kisumu

With successful editions already held in Nairobi, Eldoret, Mombasa, and Nanyuki, Tusker is gearing up for the final leg in Kisumu.

“The recent celebrations truly embodied the diversity and vibrancy of Kenya’s regions,” said Brigid Wambua, Senior Brand Manager, Tusker. “We can’t wait to wrap it all up with an unforgettable experience in Kisumu.”

The Kisumu edition dubbed “The Lake Edition” will take place at Atella Beach Resort on November 8th. Tickets are priced at KES 1,000, redeemable for a range of KBL’s signature beer brands.
