Shell Backs Local Motorsport Talent
Organised by 254 Motorsports Club with support from Shell, the championship provides Kenyan drivers with a platform to develop their skills, gain competitive experience and test themselves against other competitors.
Vivo Energy Kenya Manager Joanne Nyagah said the partnership supports the growth of local motorsport by giving drivers opportunities to learn and improve.
“AutoX provides an important platform for drivers to gain experience, sharpen their skills and build their competitive capabilities,” Nyagah said.
She added that with Kenya preparing to host the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally in 2027, the current period presents an exciting opportunity to nurture local talent.

Countdown to the November Finale
The championship is now heading towards its season finale, expected in the last week of November, with drivers seeking to strengthen their positions in the remaining rounds.
Kenya is also preparing for the return of the WRC Safari Rally from 18 to 21 March 2027, when leading international rally teams and drivers will compete on home soil.
While AutoX and the Safari Rally feature different competition formats, local events provide drivers with opportunities to build experience and help grow interest in motorsport among fans and young aspiring competitors.
