KeNHA Warns Public Over Fake Employment Contract Letters as Fraudsters Target Job Seekers

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a public warning over the circulation of fraudulent employment contract letters falsely claiming to have been issued by the Authority.

In a public notice dated July 29, KeNHA said fraudsters are targeting unsuspecting job seekers by distributing fake employment and contract award letters purporting to originate from the Authority.

The agency stressed that the documents are fraudulent and did not originate from any of its official offices.

Authority Clarifies Official Recruitment Process

KeNHA emphasized that employment and contract award letters are only issued to successful applicants through its official communication channels.

The Authority urged members of the public to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of any employment-related communication before taking any action.

It further noted that legitimate recruitment processes are conducted transparently and that successful candidates are contacted through official channels only.

To protect themselves from fraud, KeNHA advised the public to disregard any suspicious employment letters, offers, or contracts claiming to originate from the Authority.

KENHA also warned job seekers never to make any payment in exchange for employment opportunities or recruitment services, noting that genuine recruitment does not require applicants to pay any fees.

Public Urged to Remain Vigilant
KeNHA called on members of the public to verify the authenticity of any employment-related communication through its official communication channels before responding to such messages.

The Authority also encouraged anyone who encounters suspected fraud or attempted employment scams to report the matter to the relevant law enforcement agencies or directly to KeNHA for appropriate action.

According to the notice, prompt reporting will help protect other job seekers and support efforts to combat employment-related fraud.

KeNHA reaffirmed its commitment to upholding transparency and integrity in its recruitment processes.

The Authority said safeguarding the public from fraudulent schemes remains a priority and urged Kenyans to remain vigilant against individuals seeking to exploit job seekers through fake employment offers.
