AFTV Brings Arsenal Fever to Kenya for a Five-Day Football Celebration
Safaricom partners with AFTV to celebrate football culture, inspire young talent and fuel the next generation of content creators.
Kenya’s love for football is taking centre stage as Arsenal Fan TV (AFTV) arrives in Nairobi for a five-day tour that promises unforgettable fan experiences, grassroots football engagements and exciting digital content.
Officially welcomed by Safaricom at a launch event in Nairobi, the visit celebrates the passion that Kenyan fans have for the beautiful game while creating opportunities for young footballers and aspiring creators to connect with one of the world’s biggest football communities.
Where Football Meets Community
According to AFTV Founder Robbie Lyle, Kenya was an easy choice for the tour after witnessing the incredible celebrations that followed Arsenal’s Premier League title victory last season.
Known for bringing fans closer to the game through authentic storytelling, AFTV hopes to capture the unique football culture that makes Kenya one of Africa’s most passionate sporting destinations.

More Than Just Football
Beyond fan moments, the tour shines a light on the next generation of talent through Safaricom’s Chapa Dimba programme.
The initiative has helped thousands of young footballers develop their skills, with four former participants currently representing Kenya at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). During the visit, the AFTV team will also spend time with young players at Toi Primary School, highlighting the importance of investing in grassroots football.
A Win for Digital Creators
Football today lives far beyond the stadium, and that’s exactly what this partnership celebrates.
Safaricom says it wants to empower more young creators to tell local football stories through videos, interviews and fan content. The company’s recently launched Pata More proposition, which offers customers more data for the same price, is expected to make it easier for fans to stream matches, create content and join football conversations online.
A Celebration for Kenyan Fans
Running from 1 to 5 August, the AFTV Kenya Tour will bring together football lovers, creators and local communities for a celebration of the sport that continues to unite people across cultures and generations.
Whether you’re an Arsenal supporter, a content creator or simply someone who loves the atmosphere football creates, the tour is set to deliver memorable moments both on and off the pitch.
